Four seasons in one day....

....has been the theme for the last few weeks. Sun, rain, wind, hail, rainbows galore, single figure nights, low 20's days, followed by cold Southerly blasts.

Despite the unpredictable weather, it's been busy!

The soccer seasons are at an end for James and I. I ended with a 4-2 loss, a BBQ and lots of beers - the whole team were happy after a few hours of the beers. James ended with a win and followed it up with a 2nd place at the Northern Beaches Gala Day yesterday - 5 games, 7 hours and lots of tired kids. The Seaforth Wolves finished top scorers in the comp and the entire team got a trophy and a medal for their efforts.

Olivia finished netball last weekend. She finished with another loss (they did not win a game in season 1) but the team actually 'got it' and started passing the ball and moving around. Olivia was goal shooter for most of the game and had lots of chances and some near misses. She did some great passing that lead to at least 2 or 3 goals for our team.

Jack is simply wonderful. Wherever we go people stop us and say "What amazing eyes, he is lovelly." Jack is at that great age - he is curious about the world, he wants to touch/grab everything. He is vocal and demanding.....he is days away from getting mobile.

He can crawl backwards. He can lunge at toys/cups/people. Any day now he will work out how to crawl forwards - and then life changes. The house needs to be secured this week.....I expect Emma to call me in a few days and say "Jack has gone, he was on the floor but has just crawled off somewhere."

The USA seems a long time ago now. I am slowly working on the photographs - so watch out for the highlight video to arrive to a website near you soon.

We are busy planning the next trips - Skiing in two weeks, Fiji in November, potentially another ski trip to the USA in April and back to Europe next July.....gosh it's busy. In between I have 2 trips to NZ next month (it is the Rugby World Cup after all) and a quick dash to London and Germany in October.....my airmiles balance will be growing fast.

There is sooooo much else to report - it's been busy! Highlights include:

1. Last week we 'volunteered'to man the 1st water stop in the Sydney - City to Surf running race. 85,000 people took part making it the largest running race in the world. We filled 65,000 cups with water to cool them down as they ran past. It was pouring with rain for most of the time but great fun and we raised some cash for Jame's cub scout troop.

2. James took part in his school athletics carnival last week. He came 3rd in the 100m and now gets to go to the District Competition to represent his school. Olivia also took part but had her jacket on and dropped her hat half way through the sprint....she is not going to the Districts.

3. Emma is organising an Amazing Race event for the school - and is stressed.

4. Jack has a cold.

5. James scar is healing...
